A bit of a “sensitive” topic today…

Mr Lazy

Do you ever find yourself thinking, “I JUST CAN’T BE BOTHERED TODAY” ?

…”I just can’t be bothered to do any exercise”
…”I just can’t be bothered to eat healthy”
…”I just can’t be bothered to go to the gym”
…”I just can’t be bothered to lift weights today”
…”I just can’t be bothered to move!”

Come on now…Be honest with yourself…Get it off your chest.

I OFTEN notice these thoughts popping into my own head (as much as it pains me to admit it!).

And I KNOW I’m not the only one!

There we are with a goal to get in the best physical shape of our lives…and yet there are times when PART of us just simply isn’t interested. THAT PART just wants to curl up in the corner and go to sleep…be lazy…do nothing.

So what’s going on here?

WELL…the more I’ve looked into and studied psychology and human behavior…the more I realize it’s totally NATURAL and NORMAL for us to feel this way. All of us have a “Mr Lazy”

The human body is very LAZY by nature, and wants to conserve and save as much energy as possible. It’s also most interested in it’s own SURVIVAL too. So staying still and doing nothing is a pretty simple way for it to achieve BOTH these aims.

Most of us also experience a FEAR OF FAILURE in many areas of our lives too. And for some people, that’s enough to stop them in their tracks. They just do nothing!

PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER

So…with all this stuff going on in the back of our minds…(and a lot of the time we’re not even consciously aware of it)…it’s no wonder getting MOTIVATED can be challenging at times, is it?

I’ll talk about this again another time, but I just wanted to make you aware of it for now, so you notice what’s going on when the “Mr Lazy” starts wreaking havoc in that head of yours.

The key is to first become “conscious” of it. Then we can do something about it.

FOR NOW…

For now I highly recommend you read the quote below. Keep this idea in mind throughout your day (ESPECIALLY when you notice your own “MR LAZY”:
